The Long Beach Police Officers Association was incorporated on June 24, 1940.
The Long Beach Police Officers Association is made up of the men and women of the Long Beach Police Department from the police officer, corporal, sergeant and lieutenant ranks.
The Long Beach Police Officers Association was created:
- To ensure the protection and preservation of peace officer rights.
- To negotiate salary, benefits, and working conditions.
- To address department morale issues.
- To promote and attain legislation affecting the peace officer’s welfare.
- To support the Long Beach community through sponsorships, donations, and community events.
